Centerparcs ? -- Creche for 2-3 year olds

We're going to CP in March and I'm thinking of putting DS (2.9) in the creche for one afternoon or morning. In the brochure it looks like they have a different theme for each day/time slot, but doesn't say when they do which theme.

He's car-mad, so I'm hoping to send him to the 'transport' session. Does anyone happen to know when that one might be? We're going M-F, by the way.

Thanks!

If you look at the website, it should give you a list of all the activities, and you can prebook on line too. From what I remember they send you an email with a reference code so you can do that. You should also get a pack through the post with all the details but if I were you I'd prebook on line as they do get booked up so quickly.

We are going CP also in March. Which one are you going to dublinmom? We have booked some of the activites on line for ds 2.7 but haven't booked any creche time yet.

Do you always have to book in advance?
My DS took a long time to settle in his nursery and I'm not sure how he'd do in a strange creche (14mo tho' will be 19mo when we plan to go for first time) so I wouldn't want to book more than one session and even then I'd like to get a feel for it first.

What activities are included in the price? Just the swimming?

You tell them where you'll be, and they ring you there (e.g. sports bar/aqua sana) if they don't settle after a while. Think the creches are good but have only used them the once for exactly the same reason you highlight - its hard for the child to settle on a one off session, and therefore hard for you to relax if you don't know they have settled. LP free things are - pool (sometimes do a free baby dolphin session [where pool is only open for the littlies but not worth it imo as you don't get to use the toddler bit sthen and you have to get up early], adventure and outdoor playgrounds, indoor soft play, some free entertainment e.g. magicians is on sometimes, there's a toddler/pre-school disco once a week that's free. And loads of space to explore.

Hi there little pig, they do offer a half hour session on the Friday ( for Friday-Monday guests) and Monday for ( Mon-Fri) parents to go with their children to have a look at the creche. You pay for it though.

It's up to you if you want to book in advance. If there are spaces free then you can book on the day. TBH the whole of CP is v child friendly so there aren't many activities that you can't drag your DS along to so the times we were at CP we booked DS in for one session only so we could go to the spa. The care at the creche seems very good and so it should be at the price.

All activities are extra ( apart from the pool). We took DS to the Messy Play, but to be honest, he didn't really get the concept and it was at 5pm which is a bizarre time for a toddler activity.

Have a good time.
