I live in the South east. My friend lives in Scotland and we want to do a mini break, probably in the week and in March, avoiding school holidays to keep the price down. He has a passport, DD and I don't so I think he will fly, we wll go by train or if I feel brave enough, drive. Quite fancied the idea of a Haven type park with facilities on site and the chance to get out and explore wherever we end up. Any ideas about where we could go that is no more than two to three hours by train for me and has an airport fairly near by for him? Doesnt have to be a caravan park but I was thinking that sort of thing may end up cheaper as we will need at least two rooms to sleep in.
