HOW EASY WOULD IT BE TO SNEAK A 2 YR OLD INTO CENTERPARCS?

I am just wondering if there is a slight possibility that I could sneak my 2.7 yr old into centerparcs to save on having to hire a 4 bed as its so much more money? Grandparents are coming to in a differant car so its possible to split the kids up on arrival . Is this a clever idea or will I be shot at dawn and be escorted shame faced off the elite center parcs premises? worth the risk or not? have you actually done it? any tips will be gratefully received. p.s toddler to sleep in a travel cot anyway, whether we got a 4 bed or 3 bed!

No passes needed morningpaper. and as that was the only 'free' activity I originally couldn't see a major problem, but non the less I agree with the Mners who have said its not a good idea.

I think it's fraud too actually

oooohhhh

chisigirl · 03/10/2008 14:24

Of course it's theft. If you 'sneak' a child in who should really be paying, that's stealing. Why does it put the price up for others? Because CP is in business to make money. They have targets for how profitable they want the business to be. If you, and others, don't pay for your child to enter, then CP will put the price up to compensate.

We have done things like this, but NOT to save money, although obviously saving money is a by-product of doing it.

We do it because we want to be in one room, and feel that larger families are being discriminated against.. I don't see why hotels should dictate our family's sleeping arrangements to me. I our 7 and 9 year old are happy to share a bed, this should be up to us.

And yes, of course I understand about insurance etc.

It doesn't stop it being bl==dy annoying to be split into 2 rooms just because either the hotel does not have enough family rooms, or because it is their policy.

I think to call it fraud is being a bit dramatic. Surely they are playing on their 'insurance' in order to rip us off too...

milkybarsrus · 03/10/2008 14:33

Chisigirl, cp are very good at making money, thats why they are booked most of the year at extremely high prices. they put prices up because they are greedy, like many big busineses not because a 2.7 year old hasn't paid to sleep in his own cot!
Im off to work now and backing off this thread as I'm getting really bored with people like you, why don't you try reading the thread before making a post!

won't your child be using water/heating/lighting too - someone has to pay for that don't they ?

milkybarsrus · 03/10/2008 14:42

OMG the only water heating and lighting my 2 year old would have used would be when we are with him, with the lights on, with the heating on and only baths with his siblings which would have already have paid for by us , his family! THE END

Sigh.

Center Parcs are a business. Of course they need to make money ... that's what business is. It's not a charity ffs.

'Sneaking in' a extra person, whether child or adult, is fraud actually. It is not just the issue of the villa - the additional person is also using up extra space in the swimming pool (and my god is that crowded enough) and all the other facilities.

MaryAnnSingleton · 03/10/2008 14:49

still wrong

Should there not be flexibility though?

Families go on holiday to be together after all..

KerryOki · 10/01/2011 03:22

We are going to the CenterParc in Cumbria soon.
Re the child costs hopefully all the fun and excitement of the place will offset the costs incurred for a baby and two toddlers.
(booked a 3 bed)

What really makes me angry is that they charge 2% extra for using my credit card.
They should not be allowed to pass on the merchants fees to their customers. But they do!
