Canary Wharf tourist ideas?

I want to go to the champagne bar in the Canary Wharf Waitrose.

Where else is good in the area to visit please? I've been to London Museum Docklands - anywhere else in the area we can get to on foot?

You can walk to Greenwich via the foot tunnel under the tunnel. Go and see the Observatory, Cutty Sark etc

I don’t think I’d make a special trip for the wine bar…but there’s a good light trail every year that’s quite fun.

its in January though https://canarywharf.com/winter-lights/

trust me, the Waitrose bar is not what you think. Docklands Museum is excellent. All around there is great just to look around. Sometimes movie shoots happen. Greenwich foot tunnel

We love the Waitrose wine bar on Oxford Street. That's what we're expecting.

Is it not like that?

{mention:Globules}@Globules they also have one in the Waitrose at the back of King's Cross. Much more to do nearby too!

I used to work in CW. I wouldn't go for fun.

As I said, I've been to London Docklands museum.

We've also explored Greenwich on a previous visit to London.

Is there really nothing else of interest in the area?

A champagne bar?

We were talking of going to coal drop yard too, so that might be a better option.

Coal Yard is a much better option. The foot tunnel to Greenwich is a fun walk, up through the park and the Observatory and IMO the best view of London there is.

Depending who you are going with, fair game at Canary wharf is quite good fun for a few hours.

I’m not trying to neg Waitrose CB, but are others different to the one in Bluewater which is more a fancy break from shopping but sitting in a supermarket nonetheless?

Edited

Not been to the one in Bluewater.

The Oxford Street one is walking through a supermarket to find a lovely little bar with tables and a menu with a great selection of wines and nibbles for a great price.

We often go there when we're in London. The "offer" platter is outstanding value in an outstanding location.

Sorry yes I mean coal drop yard I just couldn't think of the name!

Also in case you can stretch your budget the champagne bar next to the eurostar on St Pancras is lovely.

Needmorelego · Today 19:08

I think there's an indoor amusement place (aimed at adults) at Canary Wharf - crazy golf, karaoke etc.
No idea what it's name is though.

Then I stand utterly corrected OP. I do like an oasis of marv in a trying world. 🥂

Not as lovely as the Booking Office there 🥰

Ooooh. Thanks @GiveMeWordGames . I'd read about the crossrail garden a while back and decided I wanted to go. Thanks for the prompt.

@AnotherDelphinium looks like you've identified the place @Needmorelego is alluding to. Thank you both.
