National Express East Coast - London to Leeds

I've booked an all in ticket including Eurostar from Brussels to Leeds on a Monday 28th July - leaving london at 9.- 35 for myself and dd (4.5). Just noticed though that whilst she gets an allocated seat on the Eurostar, she doesn't on UK train. I understand from the NE website that under 5s are free, but anyone know how busy this service gets? Are there likely to be unreserved seats? The thought of her fidgeting on my laps for 2+hours is not very appealing...I thought it was quite a bargain

It depends. I went from Doncaster to London (same line) a month ago and most seats were reserved. They had messed up the booking though and not reserved Ds a seat despite us having paid for it. Luckily a lovely man gave up his reserved front facing airline seat in exchange for a backwards facing sitting with another family table seat so we could still sit together. You may be lucky and have someone do the same for you. If not be prepared to have your DD on your lap I'm afraid

I have done this a few times and it has never been full. I am sure you will be OK.
