I live just near there and there is plenty to do, especially if you have older dcs. My dcs are 4.6, 2.10 and 17mo and we can entertain them for a good couple of hours just walking in the forest.

There's a few circular walks, one is about half an hour if you just walk and don't detour into the woods, then there's a couple of long ones that we've not attempted yet.

GO Ape is also worth a thought if your dcs are old enough - it looks great but we haven't done it yet.

Thanks Olihan, oldest ds1 is 5 1/2 so still too young for go ape too ..pity ! Do you know if you can hire the tagalong type bikes there. Can cycle but very slow and at times a bit reluctant shall we say ?

Be VERY careful where you park your car - only use the proper carparks. It is a lovely place to walk round but I got my handbag stolen out of the boot of the car (they'd obviously been watching us) & having told people, it seems its quite common there .
