Child’s passport renewing

Hi, any advice would be great please! I live in the uk and soon need to renew my son’s passport. My passport is still in my maiden name and I’m a bit unsure if I supposed to fill the application out all in my maiden surname or if I should fill it out it my married name and send off my marriage certificate with it. There doesn’t appear to be any helpful info online 😩.

Has anyone done this before?

You’d need to change the name on your passport separately.

I don’t plan on changing mine yet as still have a long time on it but just didn’t want to mess my sons passport renewal up by using my married name that won’t match my passport or the birth cert they have on file for him if that makes sense.
