Hi all, I have a challenge! I’m looking for somewhere to go in the uk, preferably northern England/ Scotland.

We’d like a house, or a house with an annexe, to house 8 adults, 4 children and 2 well behaved dogs.
it would be great to have an indoor pool (but not a deal breaker,) a games room, safe outdoor space for the dogs and the children. A pub and or restaurant nearby that’s dog friendly, a shop or supermarket, and a electric car charger would be needed.

ive looked at various places online, but wondered if anyone here knew of somewhere that fits our needs?
We’d be travelling from Yorkshire and Scotland, so 3 hours drive max for each of us if possible.
i look forward to any suggestions!

The electric car charger will be tricky.

very few airbnbs have them.

is there a reason you can’t take a granny charger/charge at a station?

the rest is fairly easy

A car charger within the vicinity, local town/ village or supermarket would suffice, yes.

There’s some barn conversions near Embleton in Northumberland that have a pool, can’t remember the name. Lovely walk down to the beach and the famous Ship Inn. Nice pubs in the village too.

Village Farm, Shilbottle, Northumberland

Most of those are covered by Harthill Hall, Derbyshire, close to Bakewell but very rural, where there is a range of accommodation sizes. The pool is bookable for a slot each day with an online system. Most of the larger house options also have a hot tub.

They are all in the wrong location, but maybe if you put in your exact details you might find something.

On the other hand, if its 2-3 families, why not get a holiday let for each that are close together, like on a farm?

https://www.groupaccommodation.com/ specialises in listing big accommodation so could be worth a browse.
