Manchester Airport Walking T2 to T3, check-in T1 need to collect from Boots

I hope someone can help me here.

I need to collect an online shop from Boots, and it only gives T2 as an option. I fly from T3 but apparently check in for Ryan Air is (old) Terminal 1. So my question is how long do I need to allow post security to get to T2 Boots then on to T3 and is this even possible, it's not clear from any of the terminal maps I can find!

Yes apparently. Never done myself. 15 to 20 mins walk according to the internet. You use the skyline bridge.

The distance between terminals isn't that far really. Maybe 5-10 minutes walk each way. Part of it is a escalator style moving walkway.

BUT, I'm not sure if it's even possible to do after you've gone through security as each terminal is a separate entity. From what you say, you'd have to go through security in the "wrong" terminal to get to Boots. Would they even allow that? Presumably you'd have to show/scan boarding pass which would show the wrong terminal?

The walkway between terminals always appeared to be "outside" security, i.e. the public area, as the railway station is set off the walkway. I don't know if there's another walkway for those who have gone through security to travel between terminals as it would obviously have to be secured and separately from the general public who've not gone through security.

As per the above poster, unfortunately you can't do it. You can only access the shops in the terminal that you fly from.

Thank you all so much for confirming what I thought. It's ridiculous I can't order to collect from Boots in T3 so I'm going to have to gamble on the day what they have in stock and buy it then.

@RandomMessI flew from T3 a couple of weeks ago, the Boots has closed down. That’ll be why you can’t click and collect there.

Fabulous that on line it says it’s still there 🤣😭

The signage was gone when I flew in April but nothing had replaced it, so maybe it was a refurb? Either way I was fuming at paying WHSmith prices for travel toiletries 😂

@LPR16come back and remind me, my memory is shocking. I fly in 10 days. I’m fuming, all my planning and 2 hours of deciding what to order, balking at the £4.50 charge for collection 🤣

Also do I need the liquids in the clear bag, DD said she didn’t but that was T2

Sadly you still need it at T3 😩
