Looking for your recommendations of a 2/3 night stay in the UK for MILs big birthday in January 2027. There would be myself, MIL, SIL and a 3 year old, 1.5 year old and then 6 month old. We are spaced apart already so anywhere between Bristol, London and Yorkshire. Thinking maybe a lodge with hot tub, possibly with a restaurant onsite? Will have a car but local to nice town/places to visit would be a bonus.

MIL isn’t overly into spa days but wouldn’t rule out a spa hotel. Obviously being bleak January weather indoor entertainment for kids would be beneficial. Looked at centre parcs and for a 2 night stay in January looks like nearly £1800!!!

Just a couple of nights away to spend time together, celebrate, good food, wine and chill. TIA.

Bainland. It's just fabulous. Miles better than centre parcs, still on the expensive side but you might get a good deal in January.

Otherwise Pennant park in North Wales is nice.
Quieter but it does have a nice restaurant.
Within about 40 mins drive of Chester which has great shops and a lovely zoo and the Cheshire Oaks retail outlet village.

at that time of year i'd seriously consider a city break with year-round attractions and things to keep the kids entertained.

What about one of the Repton Green lodges at Rudding Park?
