Has anyone stayed at haven seashore? Been looking for a haven and liked the look of this one, not asking for other suggestions. But I came across a thread on here from 2024 saying Great Yarmouth is a dump, sorry their words not mine. Now im worried.

Unfortunately Great Yarmouth has become a dump. The seafront B&Bs are used to house undesirables while they await deportation (not just migrants or those on the country legally but actual criminals)

the majority of the tourist attractions are closed

it’s not what it was years ago

Yarmouth's a bit of a dump but at the same time you'll be fine. We go a couple of times a year and it's definitely never felt unsafe. Stick to the touristy bits and accept it as cheap and cheerful, but past its best, as are many UK seaside resorts. Haven itself is lovely for the children too. I'm sure you'll have a great time.

We've been a couple of times, the site is brilliant, DC love it and it feels very safe. Security people are around and about.

I think the town is run down like a lot of coastal places so it depends on if you'd want to spend time there or stay on the site.

Thank you, I did plan to look around the local area so may have to rethink things

Yarmouth is just like any other seaside resort. Good and bad bits. It’s very traditional seasidey - arcades, doughnuts and chips etc. If you want classy you need to go down the coast to Southwold - which you can easily do if you stay at Seashore or Caister. We actually live in Norfolk and go to Caister every year. Although the pool is better at Seashore the park itself is nicer at Caister and the beach is beautiful. You also have Planet Spice (Indian) and The Smokehouse very close by which are amazing places to eat.

I take young people I support through work to Gt Yarmouth often as it’s the nearest beach resort. Haven Seashore is lovely, the young people love the entertainment & the activities. Great Yarmouth has fun fair rides, arcades, crazy golf, Sea Life centre & of course the beach. Further inland there’s Burgh Castle & the Broads, the city of Norwich (although the roadworks on A47 make the journey longer at the moment).
