Tips for Oxford

We'll be in and around Oxford for a week and have various plans. Can we do the Ashmolean and the Pitt Rivers museum in one day.

I like to take my time in a museum/gallery and don't want to whizz round but no clue how big either of these are.

Yes, comfortably, with time for a nice lunch between the two.

I can spend almost an entire day in the Ashmolean - have to force myself to leave so that I can fit in something else. But yes, you could do both in one day.
