I don’t know what the pictures are from but the US (despite all the crazy) has beautiful landscapes!

Ticktockwatchclock · 30/11/2025 13:29

Those photos are incredibly biased. I have taken a train across the USA and passed through some amazingly beautiful landscapes.

SilverPink · 30/11/2025 13:34

Surprisingly enough the USA does have mountains. I’m guessing you’ve never been.

AutumnClouds · 30/11/2025 13:36

Flying into the US made me realise how enormous their wilderness is, whereas so much of our countryside is farmland

dottiehens · 30/11/2025 13:43

LOL what I just saw is desperation.

HelloCharming · 30/11/2025 13:43

Compare Yosemite to Croydon why don’t you.

dottiehens · 30/11/2025 13:43

I thought that was UTAH 🤣

Comedycook · 30/11/2025 13:46

Yabvu....you could have equally taken a photo of the hanger lane gyratory v the rockies or a us national park. The US is huge...there are all manner of beautiful and not so beautiful landscapes same as Europe

🙄 I’m sorry but it sounds like you have never been to the US! New Hampshire, Vermont, Washington state, Lake Tahoe, Yosemite, Colorado is only a few places I have been in the last 3 years with the most beautiful landscapes away from highways and suburbia. Please explore and expand your horizons.

Edenmum2 · 30/11/2025 13:53

Pointless weird thread but these are just a couple of pics I took on our last trip to the US. Uk is beautiful too though.

This is a very odd premise. The USA is very large, surprisingly rural and has a wide variety of stunning scenery.
It also has urban sprawl areas and some rather dull scenery in places ( the Midwest is rather flat)
Europe also has a range of scenery from stunning to rather mediocre.
You should travel more OP, broaden your knowledge.

gogomomo2 · 30/11/2025 14:07

@joseline I’m guessing you have never been to the west coast or west of New York even? Far more wilderness and farmland than in Europe.

shuddacuddadidnt · 30/11/2025 14:09

We started in New York and drove to Canada in the fall. We drove through the beautiful Catskill Mountains, stopped at Lake Placid and then there was Niagara waterfall at the border. The Fall foliage was spectacular as the trees went on forever.

I've also skied in Colorado where there are lot of trails for skiing through the trees. At night some are even lit up for night skiing.

Most landscapes there consists of highways and suburbias. I guarantee you've never been to the US.

aintnospringchicken · 30/11/2025 14:50

We have seen some wonderful and varying landscapes in the US on various trips.

All the continents (Antarctica excepted) have breathtakingly beautiful landscapes and absolute shitholes.
