We're coming over from Australia for 3 weeks and will be staying in Guildford. Hubby will be working so I'll have to amuse myself and the kids. Would love some ideas!!

Will you have a car ? What ages ? Bocketts Farm nr Leatherhead has animals, play equipment, tractor rides and indoor soft play. Spectrum centre has a fun swimming pool and ice skating. London less than an hour by train into Waterloo (Southbank) or Portsmouth for the historic ships.

I would second Bocketts Farm - also suggest Wellington Country Park( towards Reading),Alice Holt(near Farnham) and near to this is Birdworld. If they are old enough you could go to legoland ,Chessington or Thorpe Park. At the moment the leisure pool is closed at the Spectrum in Guildford.

Yes I will have a car (at least one week)!

Thank you for the suggestions, the boys are of the mega active variety so I really need to line up some stuff to do or they'll drive me bananas.

If the pool in Guildford is closed, where would the nearest one be? They love swimming so that's a great suggestion.

TIA!

The lido - an open-air pool, it's great in summer.

Walks along the river wey from behjind the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre

Walks in Winkworth Arboretum - it's beautiful

Stoke Park in Guildford has a big paddling pool, play equipment, cafe and lots of space for games.

Guildford lido if the weather is good.

Lots of big garden centres with animals.

Guildford castle and gardens - there are Lewis carroll statues in the grounds to find.

Guildford museum.

River Wey with rowing boats to hire.

Dapdune Wharf is fun and you can get a boat ride into town and back.

Oh there's loads to do. Look out for the NCT book 'Tots About Town' for other ideas. (available in bookshops in town I think)
