UK NY Break

Apologies for the vague criteria but I've asked for a suggestions a few times on this board and had some great idea so fingers crossed.

Me, DH and DD6 are off work and school from Christmas Eve until Jan 6th. We are looking for a UK break that falls over NY, within a 3 - 4 hour drive of London. I was looking for something self catering, cosy where we can hole up for a few days (ideally at least 3 nights) after a manic December. Budget up to about £1200

Thank you

Scotland ... preferably up on the west coast. I know you said 4 hours drive but the extra time will be worth it.

Interesting you said this as we spent a NY in Edinburgh many years ago and I loved it. I did flirt with the idea of a Scottish lodge in the middle of nowhere so I'll take a look - thank you!

We love the lodges at Kelling Heath in Norfolk. They feel as if they’re in the middle of a forest, and they’re also very close to the coast.

Searles is great for that age. They have lodges with hot tubs and there’s a big Tesco across the road.

I’d also suggest Wells-Next-the-Sea but Searles will have more for your DD.
