Center Parcs - which location?

Hoping some of you may have visited more than one site and may be able to give me some advice ☺️

Our “local” is Whinfell but we will be further down south next year visiting family and have the option to visit another site afterwards so thinking of trying somewhere else as we’ve visited Whinfell a lot.

We will have a 5 year old with us so want plenty to do that’s aimed at young kids 😊 and preferably quite a flat site for cycling? Good area for younger kids in the pool etc.

Which site would you recommend? 😃

Love Whinfell but the swimming isn’t as good (imo) - Sherwood, elvedon and Longleat all have brilliant toddler / children’s pools. Sherwood is flat as is Elvedon. Longleat a bit more hilly!

I've only been to Longleat which is quite hilly. We've always had a great time with family of all ages and went last May, no complaints. My 5 year old grandson enjoyed pony trekking and meeting baby owls. 10 year old loved the swimming and we enjoyed the spa.

Longleat is by far the best. Been to 3 of them, and going to a 4th at Christmas.

Although we enjoyed Longleat, bear in mind it's so huge that they put on a train to get round the site. Which is often rammed packed and you have to wait 20 mins for the next one 🙄

I’ve been to Longleat, Sherwood and Whinfell, but Longleat is the best by a country mile. Yes it’s a bit hilly, but there are boardwalks to flatten the cycles routes off a but.

We’ve been to Elveden, Sherwood and Woburn, and Elveden is our favourite of the three. Nice and flat, so much wildlife and a good pool. The Venture Cove area of the pool is currently closed for refurbishment but it’s due to be finished in December so if you’re not looking to book until next year it should be all done by then.

Thanks all 😊 Longleat was the one we had originally thought of going to but I sat and weighed it up earlier and it’s almost an 8 hour drive home for us at the end of the week so we’ve decided to give Sherwood a try instead 😊
