Manchester academy

Due to take my son to a gig at Manchester academy this week however, im just the taxi driver.
Can anyone recommend a nice place to get a drink and some food whilst I wait solo.

It's very central so you have lots of options. I love The Refuge - on the same road but up towards St Peter's Square, about 15 minutes walk. Such a beautiful building, and the restaurant is very decent.

If you want somewhere nearby Kro Bar is nice. It's just over the road from the Academy.

HOME Manchester is a good arthouse cinema/theatre/exhibition space with a nice restaurant upstairs and bar downstairs. It’s a great people watching space too. It’s not too far from Oxford Rd station so again, further up from the Uni towards St Peters Sq.
