RHS Wisley and NT Claremont Gardens are both a short drive away

Kingston town centre short drive way, big John Lewis, bentals centre (big department store) Primark and big M&s

Wimbledon town centre, pretty small but a big Odeon and small Curzon cinemas or Wimbledon tennis museum - need to book in advance

Depends what you like doing! But loads to do near Chessington within a 15-30 min drive. There is nothing in Chessington itself- just houses. Leatherhead also not really worth a visit. But:

Shopping - Kingston or a bit further out Guildford
National Trust/Gardens - Polesdon Lacy, Wisley RHS garden. Could make it to Hampton Court Palace as well but traffic can be slow even if the distance isn’t far!
Walks - Box Hill or around Denbies Vineyard (could do a wine tasting tour as well). Or a bit further out is Leith Hill

Lots of pubs/cafes etc for lunch/coffee in Dorking and surrounding villages. And lots of choice in Kingston/Guildford
