Haven Play Passes

Hi, I have booked a private caravan at Haven Craig Tara at the end of August. We’ve done this before on other parks, but not on a Haven one. We are travelling with a friend and her daughter ( separate caravans ) and assumed we could just buy passes for DS and friend’s DD.

However I had an email from the caravan owner saying I should get the Haven app and get passes and book activities through that. I went to do this, and it says we have to book a pass for each person staying, for each day of the stay totalling £95! For three people, four nights. We’re taking our dog, so won’t be using the evening entertainment and wouldn’t all be able to do activities at the same time anyway.
Does this sound right for Haven? I’m a bit annoyed really as most activities you have to pay extra for aswell! When we have done this previously we only paid for a pass for DS, but that was at Parkdean.

I don’t want to wait until we get there to ask, as we need to book the swimming in advance else we will pay all this money and it will all be booked up!

Interested to hear what other people have done and if I just have to suck it up! Thought I was saving money booking a private caravan too!

Are you sure that you’re reading it correctly?

I’ve had a look as this didn’t sound correct based on our last visit and I think you’ve misunderstood?

You don’t really buy them daily, they have 2 main options for play passes- 3 or 4 night stay, and 7 nights.

Craig Tara for during peak time which is what end of August will be is, for 3 or 4 nights:

  • Adult £62
  • Child £30

So for 2 adults 1 child for your length stay is £154

Wow, so it should be even more! This is a screen shot of what it says on the app, maybe it’s less as end of August is not quite peak in Scotland?

Ah yeah so the off peak for there for your duration is:

  • Adult £38
  • Child £19

So £95, you’ve just escaped the higher charge.

Blimey. Ok, looks like I’ll just have to suck it up then! We normally go camping at that time, but the weather is so unreliable where we are that it’s just put us off. Thanks.

Yes I saw that, I’m not sure if the kids will be a bit old though at 13?
