Uber Virgin

Hi, most people I am friends with or work with get ubers everywhere on a regular basis so I was thinking of booking one for the first time. I am having a little staycation all by myself just one night to help me recharge and have a break from it all. I want to have a few drinks and avoid having to drive as I find that stressful in itself. So im tempted to get an uber there and back to the hotel. The cheaper rates as compared to taxis are appealing to me. But, the low score trust pilot reviews I have read have put me off , it seems they don't have a great safety record and a "bit dodgy". With me being a lone passenger im a bit worried. Should I be, do you think? I would welcome your thoughts/reassurances if you have used them yourself- I live in the North West part of UK if that matters as I know different regions may have different experiences. Thanks in advance ☺️

Used Uber for years in London and the North..never had an issue. Use at least 4 times a week often alone.

used them loads for work and a few times for personal use, including abroad and never had an issue with them. The dynamic pricing means what you pay is less guaranteed than using a black cab but it also means you can sometimes grab a bargain, or I'm always getting offers from them.

Thank you both, that is reassuring x
