I want to visit north Devon - coast - please can those of you who know the area recommend where is good but also equally where to avoid? Just adults. Would like somewhere quite quiet, but still with a few shops/cafes etc, ideally if there are coastal paths nearby, and accessible to Exmoor National Park. Am very open to suggestions and then I can look into a bit more! Thanks in advance.

Combe Martin and Woolacombe are both nice. CM is generally quieter than Woolacombe, especially in peak season. Woolacombe is popular with surfers and families, so it can get very busy. CM has more of a traditional village feel, with quirky shops, pubs and cafes. It feels more like a community than a tourist destination.
