We're visiting Shrewsbury for an overnight stay. We've already booked a prison tour, but is there any other must see places to visit? Also looking for some nice places to eat (sunday roast/carvery would be great). Any suggestions? (With a 7yr old).

If you have time, Blists Hill Open Air Victorian town/museum is brilliant! You’d need at least half a day though. It’s in Ironbridge.

For a really decent Sunday lunch, I’d go to the Riverside Inn.

There's loads to do, Castle if you like military memorabilia, Flaxmill for architecture. Or wander around the shops &market. Walk along the river, up to the the quarry and check for events that take place there. Theatre Severn, catch a show or take a boat
