Is there any medication that is available in Greek pharmacies that is prescription only in the UK?

Yes, lots! What do you need?

Bridgetjonesheart · 25/05/2025 21:09

I’m open minded. I would like tretinoin
for skin, maybe some melatonin so sleep perhaps? Valium if they have it? I mean not outrageous amount of anything of course.

Do you mean you want to stock up in Greece, in which case you.re in the wrong forum, or you live in Greece and want to know what you need to bring when visiting family over here because you can’t refill?

Bridgetjonesheart · 25/05/2025 21:26

Not stock up, just potentially purchase. Just out of curiosity really as to what is available. As many tourists do in Turkey and many other countries. Slimming injection perhaps?

Weight Loss injections are prescription only for a reason- they can have serious side effects and routinely have unpleasant ones- personally I would not risk it if I didn’t need to take it. I am very reassured to have it prescribed by a specialist pharmacist that I have been able to consult when side effects were worrying.

You can buy melatonin easily. The low dose tablets (1mg) can be brought off the shelf. Not sure about other doses.

Diazepam is illegal in Greece so you can forget that one!
