Devon or East Cornwall Hotel

I'm looking for a hotel for me and DH for a wedding anniversary trip.

It must be in Devon or in Cornwall close to the Devon border, with great food, lovely rooms and perhaps a spa.

I'm currently thinking Bovey Castle or The Cornish Arms (but not sure it will be "special" enough) but wanted to see if anyone had other recommendations.

Hotel Endsleigh or the Horn of Plenty?
The Cornish Arms has amazing food but I can’t comment on the rooms.

Gidleigh Park is nice. Or Bodmin Jail.

We loved the harbour hotel at Salcombe
Or maybe the very special one on Burgh Island

Sorry there are two there but the beach club one at south sands

The Pig? either Combe, Devon or Harlyn Bay, Cornwall
