London day

I am in London next Friday and looking for somewhere nice to mooch/have a solo lunch/maybe shop or look at galleries. Had a few kids issues to deal with and could really do wktb a mini break but a day out will need to do! Any top tips?

Tate modern and Borough market? Although last time I passed TM on a Friday it was packed with school trips so might not be the escape you need!

Marylebone High Street is always lovely for a wander. And very handy to pop into Selfridges after. 😉

I’d mooch around Spitalfields and there you’ve got the option of Whitechapel Gallery, the immersive Van Gogh experience or Dennis Severs’ House.
