Any Tips on Outer Hebrides?

I’m planning a trip in a campervan, to the Outer Hebrides, with DH and DDog. Thinking early June, going south to north, so starting at Barra.

Will a week be long enough? Anyone done this and can advise how long to spend in each place? Any must do activities/sighrs?

Definitely need more than a week

thanks @PotatoFan. How long do you think we’ll need?

We did a week and it was almost enough but had to rush through the Uists. Barra is gorgeous, we ended up staying in the YHAs in the northern islands which are marvellous. Great gin from the distillery on Harris. All our time spent wildlife watching on the beach mainly. You'll have a great time!

Minimum 10 days, ideally 2 weeks

We had 2 weeks. Lewis/Harris in particular takes a while to get around.

If you want to go all the way from south to North then I agree with others that you need 10-14 days. I did a week just in Barra and the Uists last year and that involved being on the go a lot. If you can, try to book a boat trip to Mingulay to see the puffins and other birdlife - it's a wonderful experience.

Great, thanks all! I might need to rethink then.
