Bit of a long shot but does any know of any holiday rentals that they have visted or own in sidmouth or surrounding areas? I have looked online but i end up going around in circles. I am looking for April holiday period so as expected prices are quite high now.

Houses/ apartments/ lodges/ caravans. I'm all ears

Ask on holiday cottages uk page on fb - it's for owners of holiday rentals so you post your requirements and they comment with a link to the air bnb or booking page if they have what you're after. Don't respond to any direct messages tho as the odd scammer chances their arm.

What sort of holiday are you looking for? Are you bothered about driving or would you like somewhere you can walk for food/drinks/shops etc. Sidmouth is one giant, steep bowl essentially (I ran around it a few times last week) so walking is quite steep the further in you come from the sea. We are very lucky to have a little place on the seafront. If you are able to find somewhere along the esplanade I’d highly recommend it. There are some lovely new restaurants now open and it’s always nice to be able to stroll out for food and drinks and stroll back.

We will be driving there so doesnt matter too much how far out but wouldnt eant to be as south as exmouth or further inland than ottery st mary. I have family locally and have visited previously but not in recent years. I have also looked at seaton and beer which are a little further along the coast but the prices are still not the cheapest.

I know I've left it late, my fault.

Ladram Bay has a nice little caravan park. Personally I'd try and stay in Sidmouth, Budleigh Salterton or Otterton but I'm afraid I don't know any rentals.

Try these

My df used to work for one of the companies that merged to form this company. Each cottage is privately owned so lots of variation

Have you looked here?

It’s just outside Sidmouth next to The Donkey Sanctuary. I stayed a few years ago in a caravan and it was nice.
