Travelling to Jersey with Kids without Passport or Photographic ID

Hi mums,
I am thinking of going to Jersey with my kids this half term. We are visa holders in the UK; my hubby and I have passports, but the kids don't have a passport or visa ( they do have birth certificates). Does anyone have experience travelling to Jersey with kids who don't have a photographic identity except a passport?
Many thanks to everyone who will respond; it is appreciated.

You should be fine. I did this with my then 14 year old in 2023. I did actually get him a citizen card just in case but noone checked his ID, only mine. And the only point of checking was the initial check-in queue at the airport, I didn't have to show anything after that anyway as there is no immigration control. This was with BA.
