Premier sofa bed?

I've booked a twin room for two adults at Premier Inn. I booked this specific hotel because it had actual twin beds - it said twin beds and had a photo of twin beds

The booking confirmation said triple room, the online system now says family room.

After numerous phone calls it seems it's a double bed and a single sofa bed which won't even be made up as a bed on arrival. I have to do that.

Can anyone tell me if the single sofa beds at Premier Inn are big enough for and adult and actually conformable. And how easy is it to sort out the bed linen - is there a mattress protector or am millimetre thick sheet away from a surface that people have been snacking on?

We always use the sofa bed. We don’t make it up ourselves. If it’s booked as a twin room it should be made up ready. DD tells me its perfectly comfortable!

For future, usually when I ask for a twin room at PI, it then comes up as part of the booking process to specify whether you want 2 x twin beds or the family room with double + sofa bed that you appear to have got. I think there is a slight additional cost for the genuine twin option, and I'm not sure all PIs can offer 2 x twin beds.

If your booking definitely was for a twin room then as the PP says the sofa bed should be made up for you on arrival and is reasonably comfortable for an adult.

I definitely booked a twin. I'm paying more to have a twin!

Are the sofa beds actually proper sized beds?

Yes - they are usually sited under the window and so don't have a back like a normal sofa would, they have a long bolster instead which you move out the way. If you look at the PI site you can see pictures of them in some rooms

Thank you for commenting. I'm taking from the responses that the sofa bed is in fact a totally comfortable bed which happens to have a bolster on it that make it usable as a sofa.
