Centreparcs is right next door to Longleat, though about 40 mins from Bath I think. Can't do much better in terms of child friendly accommodation.

Longleat, if you are talking about the safari park, is fab, there's loads to do there from the initial safari drive through (optional monkeys tearing your wing mirrors off), to pets corner, postman pat area, butterfly farm, maze, adventure playground, steam boat on the lake to look at sealions and gorillas, beautiful historical house to look through, various cafes and ice cream places, picnic area and much more I just can't remember it!!! We're going again in two weeks time. Only thing is you can't take buggies in the maze or in the house, which may make it tricky.

Do the safari last, as the queues for th other things especillay the boat are enormous, try googling accommodation Longleat/Warminster and you should get a list of B&B's

That's really good advice Sophie, had forgotten about the queues - will bear in mind in two weeks time.
