Where to stay in London family of 5

Going early next year and kids are 7, 5 & 5. I’m thinking an apartment so we’ve got a bit more living space. Anyone got one that they’d recommend? Alternatively a good area to stay? On my kids’ to do list are NHM, London Eye, boat trip, bus tour and the Paddington Experience. They’re pretty good at walking. Any other recommendations for less well known attractions for kids?

What kind of budget do you have, OP?

If your kids are into Harry Potter, the studio tour is well worth doing. You can get a shuttlebus from Central London straight to it.

We stayed here as a family of 5. Great location near Kensington High Street station. Shops, restaurants nearby.

The shard is a bit more exciting than the london eye and they do a talk up there quite fun for kids with a bit of audience participation.

I wouldn't actually recommend harry potter for your ages of kids - it is aimed at much older.

Kids aren’t into Harry Potter yet. Budget is £300 per night max. That apartment looks great but sold out for our dates. I’ll bear that in mind about the shard but my dd is dead set on the eye!

We always stay in youth hostels in London but I don't know if they have 5 bed rooms.

We were a family of 7 (ours grown up now) and used to just split across 2 rooms of a travelodge! London on a budget!

I was there in July with just 2 of them and we stayed at Premier, the one nearest East Aldgate tube. We have also been at Travelodge very near Aldgate tube.

Both were fine. And actually in walking distance of Tower Bridge, St Katherines Dock area etc. But tubes regular and easy too.

We always stay in the premier inn in Brixton. They have interconnecting rooms and very convenient for the underground.
