We are going to York in half term and we want to stay in a central hotel with a swimming pool. Seem to be 3 main ones - The Grand, The Principal and the Novohotel. Principal and Novotel both similar price and The Grand about £35 more a night. Looking at the websites they all look nice and I can’t decide if it’s worth the extra money, particularly between the Grand and the Principal, both look very similar. Has anyone stayed at these hotels and can advise which one would be best in terms of location and value for money?
