I'm wanting to do something fun for Halloween with my teenage kids. Came across this event at Hellfire Caves for Halloween, found this pricey experience at the caves on HeritageXplore.com and keen to know if anyone's been to the caves and if it's worth the experience? Halloween at Hellfire caves

Never heard of it sorry. Did you book in the end?

I have been. Loved it but I don’t think teenagers would be interested?

I went and found it ridiculously scary despite it being a warm summer's day. It's extremely atmospheric! I got down towards the bottom and then sprinted out of there knocking people flying on the way. So thumbs up for teens who want to be scared!

Just wanted to add - the caves seem to have been the place for a lot of weird sex stuff so the age of your teens might be important here. Dinner at the top part would be quite exposed to the weather too.

I went when I was a teenager, well, a group of us went - it wasn't actually open to the public back then so an exciting adventure for us.

50 years ago you had to crawl (squeeze) through a hole in the rocks into a tunnel which led to other tunnels and eventually the other chambers (caves). It was amazing but they've closed off those narrow tunnels now and it has a proper entrance for tourists.

Still worth going, I would think. The history alone is fascinating.
