Hi MN

Will be staying at the tawny hotel this month (Thursday and Friday night and travelling back Saturday).

So far we have booked the bikes when we arrive for a cycle, dinner at the plumicorn that evening and then will head back and relax.

Saturday morning I’ve enquired about the yoga, and then we will venture to the Emma bridgewater factory, then weather permitting spend the afternoon by the pool.

Is there anything else you can recommend we do to make the most out of our few days at the tawny and near Stoke on Trent? Will have my husband and 3 year old son in tow too!!

We love it at the Tawny - highly recommend their picnic boxes as well. Oh, and a massage if you can get DH to have your son! Which accommodation are you staying in? Have the best time!

Don’t bother with the Emma Bridgewater factory- what do you plan to do there?

A three year old would much prefer Peak Wildlife Park

My husband and I visited in June. We loved it. There is the outdoor pool if weather is good and you can also walk along the canal to a pub which is in a traditional setting. There is a steam train that runs from near the pub but you would need to check the timetable. You need to also keep time for the hot tub! Have an amazing time

Oh I was looking at the picnic boxes but my DH seems to think it’s a bit of a waste of money… good to know they are recommended, will have to get one now! We are staying in the hillside treehouses :)

To be honest I was just going to do some pottery painting & buy a few pieces, wasn’t going to bother with the tour!

Yes I did look at the peak wildlife park, but we have a zoo membership and go to our local one regularly which he does like don’t get me wrong, but doesn’t love it- wasn’t sure if it was just going to be another samey zoo for him.
