Any suggestions of what to do? Also where to eat. Only there for a couple of days but want to make it special as he will be away from his very annoying little sister!

For dinner, I’d recommend The Dorset Burger Company, The George Bar and Grill, and perhaps Enzo if he likes pizza. Fish n Fritz does amazing fish and chips.
Weymouth Bay Rib Charters run a range of high-speed boat rides in the summer.
Weymouth Watersports does paddle boarding and sea kayaking.
There are a few places which do bike hire.
Sand World is quite quirky.
