I’m trying plan my first family trip to North Wales in August. We are a family with two teenagers. I am looking for a low cost accommodation just to give us a base, so we can spend most of our days exploring Wales and spending money on activities instead.

We are coming from Lincolnshire, and I want to keep my journey to and from Wales as short as I possibly can, but with a good location for exploring. I found a caravan park in Abergele, will this be ok for my needs?

we have 5 days and four nights, I am hoping to visit the following places
zip world in Betws y coed
Snowdonia
See some Waterfalls

any other suggestions or advice welcome, thanks

All our family holidays growing up were excursions from Lincs to N Wales.
These days we go to Bronaber if your teens will share a room it's well located for beach, walking, zip world etc not too far.
log cabins they are all individually owned, there are a few companies renting out, we usually use the one linked but also see here

Abergele is in the heart of the Fish Chips and Bingo areas, but a mile inland and you have peace and tranquility.
Its a great base as its just off the A55 and good value as plenty of choice of accommodation.
Some Hidden gems of beaches nearby, Llandudno has two North and west shore, but Conwy Morfa Beach is massive, no shops, it has a small toilet block and occasionally an ice cream man.

Waterfalls
Aber is a must and most local to you, but try to go early morning or around teatime as its difficult to park, more info here.

Dyserth is a nice 30 min stroll, to see the waterfall cave and walk through the wild Garlic woods.

What are the teens interested in?
Lots of ideas here, route 1 will show you lots of stuff from the M56 Motorway then just of the A55 which is the main road in.
