Lyme Regis area

I'm thinking of this area for a UK holiday. (Persuasion is my favourite book!)

We always go Gower or North Wales and Devon and I fancy a change.

Does anyone have any recommendations of where to stay in the vicinity of Lyme? DH prefers holiday cottages but we will do lodge or caravan etc. One 12yo DC, one dog.

Hi @whhaaat - we've stayed at both Ladram Bay and Seadown Holiday Park nearby and enjoyed both - the DC were 7 and 9 ish but we don't have a dog, so you'd need to check that. Ladram Bay has more to do on site but Seadown was quieter and brilliant for Charmouth beach so depends what you prefer! We're considering Newlands Holiday Park this time as it looks like a combination of both

We used to stay in Bridport as it’s a nice town with shops, restaurants and a market. We spent a lot of time in Lyme but you have to get there early to park in the beach car park. Lots to do in the area.
