Hi I’m due to go on a family holiday to Cyprus, uk passports. My son aged 10s passport has 2.5 months left on it before expiry. Will he be refused entry as a minor or would this affect him, as his parents passports have more than 3 months. What to do?
Any advice appreciated!

You can Google this quite easily.

You need at least three months on your passport from the date you are due to leave Cyprus.

He needs a new passport.

Book a 24hr express passport appointment thingy op.

When do you travel? He definitely needs a new passport.

Leaving tomorrow, leas than 24 hrs! Gutted so stupid. Is it worth chancing it do you think?

They shouldn't let you on the plane, the airline gets fined for doing so.

However over the past year or so a few mumsnetters claim they managed to be let onto their flight in similar circumstances (although how true this is I couldn't say)!

There is also the possibility you get turned around at border security in Cyprus and sent home too.

It’s time online flight/holiday booking sites started asking for passport issue and expiry dates when you are putting in your details.
It would solve all of these problems.

You could chance it, but it'll cost you a fair penny if you get denied entry in Cyprus - you'd have to buy immediate return flights for everyone unless you have flexible tickets.

What a nightmare. Not sure what to suggest really - either chance it or you don’t .
Good luck!

There was a post a few months ago from someone in the same position but going to Spain I think and they were allowed in fine. At this point I'd probably just risk it.
