On/near Essex coast with extended family?

I'm researching options for a long weekend or short break with extended family, and we don't want to travel far so I think the Essex coast would be best... does anyone have any recommendations for locations or even specific accommodation? It would need to sleep 13 people (9 adults 4 children) and be suitable for children aged 2-8.

It's been a few years now but we loved this place, as did my kids who were 5-7 at the time.

That place looks lovely, especially the spa! Do they have any children's play equipment - indoor or outdoor?

Thank you, that's exactly the kind of thing I was after. Expensive! But I guess that's the price of a huge house in a good location in the school holidays. Ouch.

It looks to have been developed quite a lot since we were there, but yes at the time there was some climbing equipment, and also some farm animals that the kids loved. Ponies, piglets etc. There was a fabulous park and playground nearby, with a flying fox.

I'd call though if that's important, it has been awhile.
