2 adults, 2 dogs. Thinking luxury lodge/cottage with onsite facilities such as a pool/restaurant or a hotel that has some sort of self catering accomodation. Can't face the thought of a hotel room with 2 mad spaniels who are dirt magnets. Not worried about budget. We've stayed at Una St Ives, Bovey Castle lodges and Gara Rock and loved all, but would like something a bit different.

We're based in Gloucestershire, done lots in Cornwall/Devon so maybe lakes? yorkshire dales/norfolk? I'm driving myself mad looking online and can't find anywhere that fits the bill.

Freshwater Beach in Dorset is fab. They have a lovely pool and a bar restaurant. The site has direct access to its own dog friendly beach.

Sorry should have said more but assumed you'd Google. Dog friendly luxury lodges. Restaurant and bar on sight. Close to Keswick (and penrith but I wouldn't bother going there)

Darwin Forest (Pinelodge Holidays) near Matlock. Great for exploring the Peak District, beautiful lodges, a pub/restaurant on site and a gym and swimming pool. We've just had a lovely weekend there.

Also meant to say they have some luxury lodges with hot tubs and saunas. Very dog friendly too.

The cabins at Clawford Lakes have the wow factor and there’s a spa, pool and restaurant on site.

I keep seeing advertisements for Forest Holidays which seem to have sites over the U.K. They have log cabins which seem to be of a high quality. I’ve not stayed in them personally though.

Netherby Hall in Cumbria - just on the Scottish border. No pool but dog friendly beautiful self catering accommodation - the owners own Pentonbridge Inn which is a Michelin Star restaurant and they will drive you there!
