Advance train tickets

Does anyone know of anywhere you can set alerts when tickets go on sale? I need train tickets for Taylor Swift concert in June. Are they likely to put on extra trains for this event? (A friend said they did for Ed Sheeran!) and are they likely to go on sale any earlier than the 12 week advance mark? I've set reminders to look for the tickets 12 weeks prior, but I'm worried I'll miss them as assume they'll be popular! Can't find any info online so thought I would ask here. I never travel by train so pretty clueless...

Thank you

Depends on the train company. LNER will offer to email you when tickets go on sale if you try to book for a date beyond when they have released tickets.

Some of the rail operators release them more than 12 weeks in advance. LNER can be up to 6 months but like the PP I always use their email alert system. Not all operators may offer this though. Which route / operator are you wanting?

We're seeing her in Cardiff!

Where are you travelling from OP? Generally it’s best to book via the train company you will be using. Put the route in their planner and see when you can book until at the moment, then work from there.
Ticket alerts generally get sent the day after tickets are actually released.

@MinnieMountain it'll be GWR and there's no option to even set an alert yet. I guess I'll just have to be vigilant with the checking the site constantly 😫

You will unfortunately OP. I see they’re booking until the end of May right now, so not long.

Tickets usually go on sale three months in advance. And some companies do let you sign up for an alert. I doubt that they will put on extra trains for Taylor Swift

@Rocknrollstar my friend said they put on later trains so people could get back from Ed Sheeran so hoping that's the case here too otherwise no one will be opting for train, which seems crazy!
