As in a getaway over new year or one in the new year?
also, what part of the country are you in and how far are you willing to travel?

willyconker · 17/12/2023 08:17

For over new year. So from 30th for a few nights. Birmingham. Can travel up to around 3 hours.

I was going to suggest centre parcs but it’s probably booked up and/or ridiculously expensive at NY. The problem with going away at new year is that the weather is usually crap, lots of things are closed, celebrations are mostly aimed at adults, I really think you’re better staying at home!

Did you find anywhere @willyconker , think I've decided I want to go away for New Year next year. But looking for family friendly, kids 11 and 9 and not ridiculously expensive ha ha !!

@Hiphopboppertybop99 no I didn't. The weather looked pants and I just couldn't face being anywhere other than home with a toddler. Might change my mind next year when they're a bit older!

Ah what a shame. Agree weather has been awful. Fingers crossed 🤞 for next year !

When ours were little we used to go to White cross bay on lake Windermere for twixmas we used to get a decent deal for the in between days .

drowningintinsel · 31/12/2023 10:14

@Soozikinzii thank you. Will definitely look at that for next year?
