Hi. We’re having a few days break in Devon (kingsbridge) next week.

I have a nearly 3 year old and a 4 month old and wondered if anyone could recommend some nice things to do with them both?

Thanks 😊

Marine Aquarium in Plymouth,
if the weather is nice wrap up warm for the beach.

Pennywell farm is nice for little ones As is a steam train ride

Do you have a car?

Torcross village and beach have a look at the tank. Read the history there, go to the Start Bay Inn. Huge childrens area for eating.
My fave place in the world.

If you want a play place there's Woodlands.

I'm currently sitting about 200 yards away lol.

If you want a takeaway do go to Mahabharat x

Plymouth is only 20mins away so plenty to do there in all weathers, swimming, cinemas, soft play etc. 30mins the other way is salcombe, hope cove, bigbury etc for beaches, nice pubs etc.

Summermeadowflowers · 15/11/2023 17:47

That’s fantastic, I didn’t realise Plymouth was so close Smile

Plymouth is 35 mins at least from Kingsbridge.
Dartmouth is cute too.

ShanghaiDiva · 15/11/2023 20:11

Dartmouth is lovely.

Still not a massive trek....................

Dartmouth is lovely. We used to go a lot when the kids were little and the wet weather plan was always the steam train to Paignton.

South Devon Railway is a really good steam railway (and inside and sitting down if you're bored of carting a little one around and/or it's raining).

And if you're going late November their Polar Express trains start 24th November.
