Japan House in Kensington is very nice to visit. Also Japanese garden opposite in the park there.

The Japan Centre on Panton St near Leicester Square has an eatery in the basement and there are a couple of restaurants in the immediate vicinity too.

Shoryu Ramen is a chain owned by the Japan Centre and is good.

Westfield White City has a massive Japanese supermarket with food stalls (the BBQ was great when I went)

There's a Hiroshi Sugimoto exhibition on at the Hayward Gallery: www.southbankcentre.co.uk/whats-on/art-exhibitions/hiroshi-sugimoto

These are excellent suggestions - will def do the HS exhibition at The SouthBank Centre - Japan Food Court looks great but would like to tie a Japanese meal in with the exhibition so any suggestions for a restaurant more central - also reasonable priced.

Tons of options - donyou want sushi or ramen and udon or shojin etc as most authentic Japanese restaurants will specialise in one “type” of food

If you want something very special I can recommend Hannah that’s on the south bank
