Devise a travel itinerary for a family holiday in your local area

COL has scuppered our ability to have a holiday abroad for the next years (I reckon), but I think I could swing a holiday or two in the UK. I’ve got three young children and so having a decent plan is necessary. And what better way to get some ideas then to ask people who live across the width and breadth of the UK.

So I put it to you… if a family had a holiday in your local area, what would you recommend they did? (For the sake of this exercise, let’s assume warm sunshine!)

I live in the New Forest. I’d recommend a day at Moors Valley Country Park (lots of wooden structures for the kids to play on scattered about the forest), a day at Paultons Park (theme park, home of Peppa Pig World), a day in Lymington including a visit to their salt water baths, a day in Bournemouth strolling on the beach and at the aquarium. For accommodation, there are lots of campsites and B&Bs but I should think a holiday park for families is the best bet, maybe Sandy Balls.
