Any top tips for Sandy Balls away resort. Nearest decent restaurants, good places for toddlers etc? Staying in a comfort lodge so none of the fancy hot tub etc unfortunately. Thanks!

We went two years ago and really loved The Fighting Cock pub basically next door. You need to book, they are really popular

https://thefightingcockspub.co.uk/

We had exactly 4 of each, four glasses, mugs, plates, cutlery. It was washing up after each meal. Bit annoying.

Bring all things like washing up liquid, tea towels, kitchen paper, foil etc. They have gas ovens, so it was a bit of fun getting pizzas done as it was 30 years since I last used one.

Check if towels are included.

We went to the Marwell Zoo, nice one.

After the pub is a section where the ponies are around, you need to drive carefully they can just come onto the road. We stopped and they do come towards you so be a bit careful. Friends also saw them direct at the pub fence.

Our DD and our friend's DCs are older so I can't say anything how the activities are for toddlers.

The main restaurant on site is busy and if you plan to go there I would recommend booking.

Go down to Mudeford Quay while you are there. Great day out for kids.

Comfort lodges are the best as they are on the original site and you get plenty of space!. Location is good 'in the woods' rather than the newer accommodation units which are built on the old campsite and right on top of eachother.

We love Sandy balls.
Alpaca walking is sweet.

Avon beach is lovely.
Mudeford Quays. Go crabbing, take bacon and a net and you'll catch loads!

Walk around the new forest, it's gorgeous!

You're near Peppa Pg world / Paultons park if you want an expensive theme park day out.
