I have the possibility of a day in Harrogate after a couple of days at a conference in York - but I'd be arriving by train and walking around, so no chance of seeing any of the attractions around it that need a car. I'd be alone. I haven't decided whether it's worth the extra effort to go there or not - the main thing seems to be the Turkish baths, and I"m not sure I'd fancy doing that alone. I don't really know what's involved, but it involves wearing a swimming costume, and as a plus sized person, I'm not sure that's a good plan. I'd quite like to do a tour of them, but that only happens on Wednesday, and I'd be there on a Sunday or Monday. Early Nov. but I'm looking at train options now.
So there are options for tea and cakes, shops, pump room museum, pretty parks I guess; is that worth an extra day? I've been to places like Bath etc before
