Hi all,

I'm organising a trip to London for me and my 11 year old son in October half term to watch Tottenham play.

2 adults cost just £68 pound for a double room.

However, if I base it on one adult and one child, I have to have a family room and its £171!!!

I'm just wondering if they have self check in machines at all? So I could book it for two adults and save the difference?

You could but do you really want to share a bed with an 11 yr old boy??

Travelodges I've stayed in never have (lots for work). To be honest, not much in them actually worked.

Premier Inn do double rooms and free WiFi.

It's her child

You can book a double and they'll not care at check-in - but you'll have to share a bed.

We've stayed at a couple and DP has went to check in, can't say they've ever shown an interest as to who he's with.

Surely OP could book a twin (although I do appreciate they have specified double)

Not for £68 in London they don't

It was coming up with it for wood green which is close to the stadium.

omg it’s my son! what a silly remark! It’s not great sharing but it’s cost of living I’d rather pay half the price when I have paid what I have for the tickets. Going to watch premier league football is a huge expense!

It will be fine-and usually possible to ask for the beds to be unzipped and made into singles if you ask them.

I wasn't doubting the price you were given for travelodge; I was responding to the poster who suggested premier inn as an alternative. It's almost always a more expensive option.

Yoyo2021 · 22/08/2023 15:50

Yes, agree premier inns were not extortionate in London! I’ve settled on a point a hotel in Paddington there was an offer for 117 pound had a look on tik tok and a few reviews looks great and we have twin beds!

I don't know if you have a Blue Light Card by any chance, but if you do you could get a further 5% off at Travelodge.
