We have booked a v last minute London trip. s this worth trip out of London for a day? 4 kids aged 9-17, so won't be cheap. We're unlikely to book it as a separate holiday so reckon it's now or never. Oldest two have been to Disney, younger two haven't. We don't travel often. We all have lots we'd like to see & do over the 4 days already; should this be on our list?

I would say probably not at that age and in the summer holidays it’s pretty busy most of the time. I’d say it’s worth it up until about 11/12, unless they’re huge Lego super fans who will be interested in the models etc.

if they like theme parks, Thorpe Park is also doable as a day trip from London - but if you’ve got lots you want to do in central London I’d probably stick to that

No they’re too old for it. Unless they’re mega lego fans and would be into the models. The rides are all for like 3-7 year olds, e.g. my 5YO could go on all but 1 of them and most are very tame. Also the queues are ridiculous so you have to buy fast passes to make it even halfway decent. And the food is dire even by theme park standards.

Thanks guys...just spoke to my 17yo who said-I am NOT going to Legoland...". I'll score that one off the list....
