Can anyone recommend any good Greek/ Spanish/ Mediterranean style restaurants in Edinburgh please? Needs to be in the city centre and preferably not a chain.

La Sal on Leith Walk
Spitaki on East Claremont Street
La Casa in Dalry or Leith Walk
Taxidi at Tollcross

Fava is really nice. Right next to Haymarket station.

Cafe Andaluz - spanish tapas. Fab food and atmosphere. Near Greyfriars church.

Pomegranate doesn't exist anymore. It's now another branch of Leila's. Which I wouldn't recommend. Pomegranate actually went really down hill before it closed.

I used to like Spitaki but was disappointed on my last visit. The Greek salad was laughably small and everything else felt quite stingy too. I know, ingredients are more expensive, but I just wasn't happy with what was served. Barioja Tapas Bar on Jeffrey St might be worth a try.

Dalry and Haymarket aren't city centre and Cafe Andaluz is a chain.

This place is lovely. Not a chain but it's the restaurant for the hotel its in.

We absolutely adored Noto. The food was great. The chocolate dessert was the best I've ever had and I only ever have chocolate desserts!

Second Baba, a lovely restaurant and nice vibe to it.

Yes, Baba is a very good call. Great food, very nice setting

third (or fourth) for Baba but you will need to book in advance…I always leave it too late and never get a table

I came onto say Baba too. It's lovely and very busy. If you can't get into the restaurant the attached bar does some small plates.
